We hope that you enjoy your stay and that it provides answers to some questions that you may have about the wonderful Ragdoll breed. Our ragdolls are raised "in house" with me, my partner, two teenage sons, one black lab and two DSH's (Domestic Short Hairs). Our ragdolls are well socialized and get along well with the other ragdolls in the house as well as the dog, other two cats, and people. All of our cats, Ragdoll and DSH can be found on our "Ragdoll Stars Page". We have a small cattery, 1 male and 3 females. Our breeding program focus is on health, type and temperament. Is a Ragdoll right for you? Ragdolls are not for everyone, if you are looking for a high energy cat than the Ragdoll is not for you. However if you are looking for a companion who will greet you at the door then Ragdolls might be the breed for you. Before purchasing a Ragdoll or any other cat we recommend that you read this article. It will give some suggestions on how to find the cat that is right for you. To find out more about Ragdolls please read our "Ragdoll Information Page". How we started: Our Ragdoll adventure started in October of 2003 when Phil said that I could have a kitten for Christmas. Now I am pretty sure his plan was to go to a shelter pick out a cat and come home. He had no idea that I wanted the perfect cat and intended to find it. We researched for 3 months before I decided that a Ragdoll was what I wanted to have. In February 2004 we found a Ragdoll mix and brought her home, Coffee is a beautiful Seal Point. But, I still wanted a Purebred Ragdoll. Tressie was our first Purebred Ragdoll she is a retired Show quality breeder. Tressie gave us the opportunity to get into the cat fancy world of showing, and we have been hooked ever since, not only on showing but on helping this wonderful breed advance. Where we are located: Small town in Northwest Wisconsin. Grantsburg, is about 1 hour North of the Twin City Metro Area. Although we live in a rural area we are still very active in the cat fancy. Clubs and Associations we are affiliated with: Our cattery is registered with TICA (The International Cat Association) and CFA (Cat Fanciers Association). We are also members of two Ragdoll Clubs; RFCI (Ragdoll Fanciers Club international, the largest and longest established Ragdoll Club) I currently am also the RFCI secretary and a breed committee member. And the RBC (Ragdoll Breed Club). We are also members of GLACE (Great Lakes Area Cat Enthusiasts) an All breed TICA cat club. |
