Simon

Simon is my son, Matthew's cat. Their story is about fate, and Simon and Matthew were meant to be together.

On July 22nd and 23rd, 2006 we were at the Route 66 Cat club show in Franklin Park, IL. Simon was one of the rescue cats at the show. His entry fees for the show were sponsored by Bill and Susan Lee of Coons Cross & Lee Catteries. (Bill is Matthew's Junior Achiever mentor). While Robin Sessler was judging her Household pet class she decided the she would not do her finals until all of the rescue cats were adopted. Matthew had fallen for Simon and he really wanted to adopt him, but we couldn't afford the adoption fees. Later in the afternoon Cindy Willoughby, who was working with the rescues said that she had someone who would pay Simons adoption fees if Matthew would adopt him. Simons benefactors were John and Terry Berrie of B Street Cattery. We would like to say thank you to all of the above people for your gifts. Thanks to all of you Simon was given a second chance at life, and we gained a wonderful, and loving pet.
